I've heard a lot of good things about this festival, anybody on here going? There is a public campsite in Ballyshannon not far from the town centre, but they may also take camper vans and caravans on the official event campsite. On their website it doesn't they don't allow them, so i emailed them to confirm. Will post here later.

Does anyone if you can bring camper van or caravan to the official event campsite?

Jesus i sure hope they let campers stay at the official campsite, cause otherwise a lot of people are gonna have camp illegally somewhere in the town which which is outa the question.

Surely they'll have to facilitate campers (as in just let them stay in the 'field'), they even said on the websites camping section that they'll be clampin down on people camping on the side of the road in the town. They really should've mentioned it on the website.

2 emails sent to their email address in the camping section and once via the contact form and still no answer since thursday. Or will we just show up without confirmation? Maybe even pay for camping ticket before hand mightn't give them much of a choice because they didn't specify they don't take campers, right? Could be a disaster though :P

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated ))

Not too sure about the offical campsite, but the last time we were at this, we stayed in a campsite just on the edge of the town. Was a decent place, with decent breakfast and food served onsite. Think it was lake view campsite or something like that. Will see if I can find their contact for you. Was a very handy walk to get into town.

Didn't know it's urself lol, Marlow told me earlier. This is martin, in case u didn't already know.

I knew about the public campsite but i thought we might try and stay at the event one just for the craic.

Got fed up with the uncertainty of not knowing whether we can bring campers or caravans and stay on the official campsite. after 2 emails, 1 contact form message and a facebook message still no answer after a week.

So i've just decided that we'll stay at the public campsite at lake side and booked it today. There is only a couple of spots left now though!

2people with van or caravan is 20 euro per night + 5euro esb + 5euro per extra person. Which is grand.

Sur well catch up at one of the festivals if not this one.
